About the role Go Fish is seeking a Sr. Director, Paid Search to lead strategy, performance, and innovation across a portfolio of clients and teams. This role is responsible for driving measurable business impact through paid search while shaping the future of how we approach search in an evolving, automation-driven landscape. As a senior leader, you’ll oversee team performance, guide strategic direction, and serve as a trusted partner to both clients and internal stakeholders. You’ll play a critical role in scaling best practices, unlocking growth opportunities, and ensuring paid search is fully integrated within broader marketing efforts. What You'll Do Strategic Leadership Define and evolve paid search strategy across clients, verticals, and teamsEnsure alignment between search initiatives and broader business and marketing goalsEstablish frameworks for planning, testing, optimization, and measurementGuide investment strategy, including budget allocation and prioritization Performance & Growth Oversee performance across a portfolio of accounts, ensuring goals are consistently met or exceededIdentify and unlock opportunities for growth, efficiency, and scaleBuild and implement scalable frameworks to solve complex performance challengesPartner on upsell and new business opportunities to drive account and agency growth Innovation & Platform Leadership Stay ahead of industry trends including automation, AI, and signal lossDefine how the team adapts to changes in the search and media landscapeEvaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and partnershipsFoster a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Sr. Managers, and DirectorsDesign team structures and ensure proper resourcing across accountsDrive consistency in quality, performance, and execution across teamsSupport career growth, training, and ongoing skill development Client & Business Impact Act as a senior strategic partner to key client stakeholdersInfluence marketing strategy, investment decisions, and long-term planningConnect paid search performance to broader business outcomesBring cross-channel perspectives and solutions to solve holistic marketing challenges What You Bring 8–10+ years of experience in paid search or performance marketing and agency experienceDeep expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and modern search tacticsProven ability to lead teams and manage performance across multiple accountsStrong strategic thinking with a focus on business impact and growthExperience navigating industry changes such as automation and privacy shiftsExcellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders What Success Looks Like Paid search consistently drives measurable business impact across client portfoliosTeams operate with clarity, consistency, and high performanceStrategic direction is clear, forward-thinking, and adaptable to industry changeClients view you as a trusted partner, leading to strong retention and growthInnovation and best practices are continuously developed and scaled across teams Bonus Qualifications Exposure to internal P&L managementDeep knowledge in Social, Organic, and/or ProgrammaticExperience with third-party attribution or incrementality toolsExperience with TrueClicksExperience with Funnel and data automations + proficient in excel Locations: Remote (United States)
