Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team behind Netwrix Privilege Secure (NPS) Discovery, a key product focused on discovering, classifying, and securing sensitive data across enterprise environments. In this role, you will play a critical part in the architecture, design, and evolution of NPS Discovery as a scalable, cloud-enabled platform. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver high-performance, secure, and reliable systems for large-scale data discovery and analysis. This role is ideal for an engineer who can own complex systems end-to-end, drive technical decisions, and mentor others, while contributing to a high-impact security product. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance systems for data discovery and classificationOwn and deliver complex features and services end-to-end, from design through productionArchitect and enhance backend services and REST APIsContribute to and guide development of modern frontend applications (React/Redux) where neededDrive improvements in system scalability, performance, reliability, and securityMake and influence architectural and technical decisionsMentor and support other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidanceCollaborate cross-functionally with product, architecture, and engineering teamsIdentify and address technical debt, proposing pragmatic solutionsImprove engineering practices, including testing, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows Qualifications & Experience Required 5+ years of professional experience developing software applications or distributed systemsStrong understanding of software architecture, system design, and scalable systemsProven ability to own and deliver complex technical solutions independently Programming & Frameworks Strong proficiency in:TypeScript / Node.jsPython Solid experience with modern frontend development (React + Redux)Experience with Golang (or willingness to learn and adopt it in production systems) Core Infrastructure & Data Strong experience with MongoDB (schema design, performance tuning, aggregations, scaling strategies)Deep understanding of data structures, data processing, and storage systemsExperience building and scaling RESTful APIsExperience with Docker / Docker Compose and containerized environments Cloud & DevOps Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable)Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Pipelines)Solid understanding of DevOps, observability, and infrastructure-as-code concepts Security & Domain Knowledge Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms:OAuth2, JWT, SAML, LDAP/Active Directory Experience working with or integrating directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID / Azure AD)Awareness of security best practices in application and data protection General Skills Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguityExcellent collaboration and communication skillsExperience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth Preferred Experience designing and operating microservices architectures at scaleStrong familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud-native deployment modelsExperience with large-scale data processing, scanning, or indexing systemsHands-on experience with Azure Pipelines or similar CI/CD systemsExperience with LDAP administrationFamiliarity with gRPCExperience with data security, DLP, or data classification solutionsInterest in AI-assisted development or advanced automation Our Values At Netwrix, our values guide every action: Next-Level Customer Focus -Customers first, always.
