This role blends technical design expertise, project leadership, and client management—ideal for someone ready to take ownership of projects and mentor a growing team. Location: Fredericksburg, VA (in-office with hybrid flexibility) 🔹 What You’ll Do Project Management & Delivery Lead land development projects (public, residential, commercial, mixed-use) from proposal to closeoutDevelop scopes, proposals, schedules, and contractsManage permitting, agency coordination, RFIs, and submittalsKeep projects on track—scope, schedule, and quality Technical Leadership Design and review site development plans (grading, stormwater, utilities, erosion & sediment control) using AutoCAD Civil 3DOversee QA/QC and ensure compliance with VDOT, DEQ, and local standardsGuide engineers through design challenges and production Team Leadership Mentor and develop junior engineersDelegate effectively and set clear expectationsLead project kickoff meetings and internal coordination Client & Business Development Serve as the primary client contactBuild long-term relationships and identify growth opportunitiesRepresent the firm at meetings, hearings, and industry events Financial Oversight Manage budgets, utilization, and project performanceHandle invoicing, change orders, and accounts receivable 🔹 What You Bring B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field)EIT required; PE preferred (or ability to obtain within 12–18 months)7+ years of experience in land development engineering2+ years managing projects and teamsStrong experience with Virginia site development, permitting, and regulationsProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, Storm Sewer, WaterCADAbility to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines If you're ready to lead impactful projects and grow your career in land development, let’s connect.
