Manager, Master Delivery Schedule (MDS):
The Logistics department is responsible for effectively and efficiently providing materials management and logistics support to all LA28 functions. The Sr. Manager, Master Delivery Schedule (MDS) will be responsible for overseeing the development, integration, and execution of the Master Delivery Schedule – a tool used to ensure all goods, materials, and services inbound to Olympic and Paralympic venues are in alignment with Logistics and Security protocols. This role will work closely with several Functions, suppliers, and delivery partners to synchronize scheduling of vehicles to venues, reduce traffic congestion near the venues, and plan for the efficient use of logistics resources for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Head of Special Projects, the Sr. Manager, Master Delivery Schedule (MDS) will help deliver the message of the MDS system to all Olympic and Paralympic stakeholders through a number of medians including face-to-face training, emails, publications, and web-site content.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation and management of the LA28 Master Delivery Schedule system, including the real-time monitoring, tracking, and information sharing of vehicles across multiple platforms
Collaborate with TEC on the production, testing, and implementation of MDS related hardware and software for seamless interfaces of the MDS across all LA28 medians
Work with Security personnel on the inclusion of the MDS into security protocols
Draft, publish and distribute the Delivering to Venue Guides
Oversee the training, access control and usage of the system to both internal clients and external partners
Centrally manage delivery schedules during the bump-in / bump-out of phases across all venues
Analyze schedule data across all venues and identify capacity conflicts and / or resource constraints
Daily monitor and report delivery analysis by use of producing system dashboards and drafting summaries, as required
Develop staffing plans, interview, hire and supervise multi-specialty team
Identify and analyze critical activities to develop contingency and emergency plans
Provide emergency operational manpower to the Logistics Function
Oversee the development and execution of recruitment, training, retention and support operations for temporary Logistics staff
Background & Requirements:
7+ years of relevant / relatable experience in MDS, Security and / or Logistics operational planning
Previous games experience in MDS planning and operations preferred
Knowledge of interpretation of venue delivery windows
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with multi-level communication experience
Competence to manage relationships between internal stakeholders and oversee end-to-end transport
Aptitude to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public / private settings, as required
Willing to work on complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and attention to detail
Demonstrated success in independently developing effective MDS processes and procedures
Experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
High attention to detail

Ability to make quick decisions, gathering input from key stakeholders and advancing the initiative forward and drive both flawless execution
Education:
An undergraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Data Management Services preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Expectation to work in LA28 offices in Los Angeles
Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting, working on a computer, and attending virtual or in-person meetings
Occasional travel to venue, airport, or vendor meetings may be required
The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
