Role Description
We are seeking a strategic, analytically driven, and people-focused Director, Business Analytics to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Business Analytics, this leadership role will drive advanced marketing analytics, measurement strategy, and data-informed decision making across integrated paid media campaigns.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in media analytics and measurement with strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable business insights while leading a high-performing analytics team in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on problem solving, client partnership, team leadership, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Analytics Leadership
Lead development of marketing measurement strategies, analytic roadmaps, learning agendas, and cross-channel performance frameworks aligned to client business objectives
Partner with clients and internal teams to deliver actionable insights, optimization opportunities, and strategic recommendations across campaigns, audiences, and media channels
Translate complex analytical findings into clear business implications and compelling storytelling for client and executive audiences
Design and oversee advanced measurement approaches including attribution, experimentation, forecasting, media effectiveness, and budget optimization
Lead development and presentation of holistic analyses that identify not only what happened, but why it happened and what actions should be taken next
Measurement & Business Intelligence
Oversee development and delivery of business performance reporting, dashboards, and measurement solutions across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal deliverables
Apply agency methodologies, analytical frameworks, and third-party vendor solutions to assess advertising effectiveness and business impact
Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Strategy, Activation, Audience, Investment, and Data teams to align analytics initiatives with broader client goals
Evaluate and manage relationships with measurement vendors and analytics partners
Identify opportunities to improve analytical rigor, reporting automation, operational efficiency, and scalability across the analytics function
Team Leadership & Operations
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct and indirect reports while fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and people-first culture
Establish strong operational processes, prioritization frameworks, and workload management practices to ensure high-quality deliverables and sustainable team utilization
Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams while maintaining strong attention to detail, timelines, and quality standards
Collaborate across disciplines to drive integrated agency solutions and support business growth initiatives
Innovation & Thought Leadership
Serve as a subject matter expert across media measurement, analytics, and marketing effectiveness capabilities
Stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies within the marketing analytics and ad tech ecosystem
Contribute to development of new analytical offerings, frameworks, and client solutions
Support new business opportunities through analytics thought leadership and strategic consultation

Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
8+ years of experience in marketing analytics, media analytics, business intelligence, or measurement strategy within an agency, consulting, or related marketing environment
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Marketing Analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Strong understanding of the digital media ecosystem, advertising measurement methodologies, and ad tech landscape
Proven experience influencing marketing strategy through data-driven analytics and measurement solutions
Proven expertise in building end-to-end measurement frameworks, including KPI definition, taxonomy design, and performance diagnostics across the full funnel
Strong experience developing structured reporting solutions (PowerPoint, Excel, and/or Tableau), translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for clients
Demonstrated ability to synthesize performance into compelling narratives, connecting media activity to business outcomes in client-facing presentations
Strong command of cross-channel performance analysis, including identifying drivers of efficiency, optimization opportunities, and strategic implications
Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex analytical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated success managing client relationships and delivering actionable recommendations that drive business outcomes
Strong leadership, project management, prioritization, and organizational skills within fast-paced, high-volume environments
Experience managing and developing teams, including coaching, mentorship, and performance management
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Technical & Analytical Expertise
Deep experience analyzing media performance across ad serving, DSPs, site analytics, and paid social platforms with an understanding of platform nuances and data limitations, including but not limited to:
Google Campaign Manager / CM360
Google Analytics / Adobe Analytics
DV360 / TradeDesk / Amazon DSP
Meta / TikTok / Snapchat / Pinterest / Reddit
Experience working within data clean room environments (e.g., Ads Data Hub, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Snowflake), ensuring teams leverage appropriate methodologies to derive privacy-compliant insights
Strong understanding of measurement areas and their methodologies, including:
Attribution measurement (e.g. MMM, MTA)
Brand lift/ad effectiveness measurement
Foot traffic measurement
Incrementality measurement
Attention and/or cross-media measurement
Forecasting, experimentation, and media optimization
Statistical methodologies including significance testing, regression analysis, correlation analysis, leading indicator analysis, and sample sizing
Ability to set strategic direction for advanced analytics (e.g., MMM, incrementality, causal inference), guiding specialized Data Science teams without requiring hands-on coding
Experience partnering with Data Management & Visualization teams to define data requirements, inputs, and outputs needed to support reporting, performance analysis, and advanced measurement
Ability to provide direction on dashboard design and analytical outputs, ensuring Visualization teams deliver intuitive, insight-driven reporting aligned to business needs
Experience with first-party CRM data, third-party audience data, and vendors to support the above measurement areas
Exposure to advanced analytical techniques such as predictive modeling (decision trees, k-means clustering, natural language processing, etc.)
Familiarity with SQL-based data environments and data structures, enabling effective collaboration on data extraction, transformation, and analysis workflows
Working knowledge of Python and/or R is not required but a plus to effectively collaborate with Data Management and Data Science teams on automated pipelines, scalable data models, and API-driven integrations
Fluency in interpreting technical outputs (R/Python models, statistical results) and translating them into clear business implications for clients and internal stakeholders also a bonus

The salary range for this position is posted below.
