Propulsion Manufacturing Intern (Fall 2026)
Internships at Astranis typically last for twelve weeks, and are hourly roles designed for students who are currently enrolled at a four-year university.
As an Intern, you will have an amazing opportunity to work on hard problems — we pride ourselves on giving everyone at Astranis a chance to do meaningful work on challenging projects, no matter their seniority. Many past interns have designed and tested hardware/software that is heading to space on our first satellite, and many of them are now full-time employees at Astranis.

Role
Design & Build the factory that builds satellites.
Deliver a physical propulsion subsystem, from tank to thruster, that is ready to operate in space.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Proficiency in a CAD software (Solidworks, Creo, NX, etc.)
A passion for building things, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
Strong interest in manufacturing; learning "How It's Made," and applying that knowledge
Compulsion to fix anything that's broken, whether its a piece of equipment, a bad process, or communication between teams

Bonus
Experience building or testing liquid propulsion systems
Experience writing work instructions, test procedures, or using MES/ERP software
Experience welding, machining, or designing welded/ machined components
