Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Specialist to provide training, ongoing support, and advocacy for adults with barriers to employment. In this role, you will empower individuals to succeed in integrated work environments, maintain stable housing, and actively participate in their communities. Key Responsibilities Participant Support & Training Provide individualized, one-on-one job coaching and on-site support based on participant service plansOrient new participants to work sites and community settingsTeach self-management and independent living skillsDeliver transportation and mobility training to support community access Program Implementation Develop, implement, and adjust training plans to meet participant goalsConduct task analyses and identify effective learning strategiesTrain participants in job duties using safe, efficient, and structured techniquesAssist with tasks when necessary until accommodations are established Collaboration & Advocacy Work with employers, supervisors, and coworkers to support workplace inclusionRecommend job modifications, restructuring, or accommodationsEducate community members and employers on supporting individuals with disabilitiesPromote independence by gradually transitioning support to natural workplace supports Monitoring & Documentation Track and document participant progress (case notes, logs, evaluations)Monitor service plans and recommend adjustments as neededParticipate in team meetings and communicate updates to the Service Delivery TeamMaintain accurate and timely reports and documentation Additional Duties Advocate for participant rights and inclusion in the communityAssist with tours, attendance tracking, and program support activitiesMaintain consistent communication with Case Managers Qualifications Knowledge of: Developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or traumatic brain injuriesBehavior modification and training techniquesJob and workplace accommodationsCommunity resources and employment programs Skills & Abilities: Strong communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to assess strengths and match individuals to employment opportunitiesEffective problem-solving and independent decision-makingExperience documenting service delivery and progress notesAbility to transport participants using personal or company vehicles Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED (required)At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)Experience in industrial or service-related work (preferred) Certifications & Requirements Valid Washington State Driver’s LicenseProof of auto insurance Ability to pass background check and drug screeningFirst Aid/CPR certification (preferred) Physical Requirements Ability to perform medium work (lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally)Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reachingWork in a variety of settings (office, community, indoor/outdoor job sites) Work Environment Combination of office, community, and job site settingsUse of computers, phones, company vehicles, and training equipmentCollaboration with participants, employers, and interdisciplinary teams Drug-Free Workplace Notification Entrust Community Services is committed to maintaining a safe and drug-free workplace.
