At Veeam Software, our Technical Support Engineers help customers protect, manage, and recover their data across modern IT environments.
For upcoming hiring in Costa Rica, we are primarily focused on the following Technical Support specializations:
1. Virtualization Backup Engineer (VBR): Supports backup and recovery solutions in virtualized environments.
What you’ll do:
Troubleshoot backup, replication, and restore issues
Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
Analyze logs and identify root causes of failures
Support storage systems and data recovery processes
Key skills:
Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
Basic networking and storage concepts
Troubleshooting and log analysis
2. Object Storage Support Engineer: Focuses on modern storage technologies used in backup and cloud environments.
What you’ll do:
Support object storage platforms (S3-compatible, on-prem and cloud)
Troubleshoot storage performance, connectivity, and configuration issues
Work with backup repositories and data lifecycle management
Collaborate with customers on scalable storage solutions
Key skills:
Storage concepts (object vs block vs file)
Networking fundamentals
Familiarity with S3 or similar technologies
3. Public Cloud Support Engineer: Works with cloud-native and hybrid environments.
What you’ll do:
Troubleshoot issues in Azure, AWS, or GCP environments
Support networking, permissions, and cloud infrastructure setups
Assist customers with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
Work with APIs and modern cloud services
Key skills:
Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Networking, identity, and access management
Troubleshooting distributed systems
4. Microsoft 365 Support Engineer: Supports data protection solutions for Microsoft 365 environments.
What you’ll do:
Troubleshoot backup and recovery for Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
Support authentication and permission-related issues
Work with SaaS environments and cloud-based data protection
Assist customers with data recovery and compliance scenarios
Key skills:
Microsoft 365 administration fundamentals
Azure AD / Entra ID basics
SaaS and cloud troubleshooting
What These Roles Have in Common
Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset
Customer-facing communication skills (English required)
Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments
Understanding of networking fundamentals
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment
