Senior Software/Firmware Engineer
Position Summary
We're looking for a rare combination: a Senior Software Engineer with solid C# expertise who also has hands-on embedded systems experience. This is primarily an on-site position with occasional work-from-home flexibility; we are unable to sponsor visas.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the full C# development lifecycle — requirements capture, task estimation, implementation, testing, and deployment
Interface C# applications with embedded devices (Modbus experience is a strong plus, motor related work a strong plus)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows for the C# application
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers
Contribute to embedded C firmware development, reviews, testing and debugging when not focused on C# work
Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of professional software/firmware engineering experience
Solid proficiency in C# application development across the full SDLC
Experience interfacing software with embedded devices, preferably Modbus or similar multi-drop serial interface
Experience in a technical lead or team lead capacity Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
Preferred:
Embedded C development background (FreeRtos a strong plus)
Automated system verification testing experience (strong plus)
Background in field support or sustaining engineering
Comfort with electromechanical assemblies and common lab tools
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-driven and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and across physically separated offices (different time-zones)
