Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Technical Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a modern data platform built on Azure. This role requires a strong blend of technical depth, delivery ownership, and client-facing leadership to drive execution across distributed teams while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Execution
Own end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives (design → build → deploy → operate)
Drive sprint planning, execution, and tracking using Agile methodologies (JIRA)
Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and release commitments
Manage dependencies, risks, and escalations proactively
Technical Leadership (Hands-on)
Provide hands-on guidance in Databricks, Azure OneLake, PySpark, Python, and .NET
Oversee data engineering pipelines, transformations, and performance optimization
Drive CI/CD pipeline design and implementation for data and application components
Ensure best practices in code quality, version control, testing, and deployment automation
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary interface with client stakeholders, driving alignment and expectations
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans
Present progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership in a clear, structured manner
Platform & Architecture
Support architecture decisions for scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms
Enable integration across data, analytics, and application layers
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and enterprise standards
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (data engineers, developers, DevOps)
Foster a high-performance, accountable team culture
Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes and engineering practices
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
Azure Databricks, Azure OneLake / Fabric
PySpark, Python
.NET (for integration/API layers)
Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub)
Solid understanding of data platform architecture, ETL/ELT, and large-scale data processing
Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like JIRA
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, Databricks
Exposure to data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks
Familiarity with AI/ML integration in data platforms
