The Human Resources Specialist supports TeamBuilders Behavioral Health by helping ensure that HR policies, processes, and practices are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our mission of providing high quality behavioral health services. This position works closely with the Human Resources Director, hiring managers, and payroll/administrative staff to provide consistent, timely HR support across the organization.
The Human Resources Specialist reports directly to the Human Resources Director and may be assigned additional duties by executive management as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the human resources field (beyond summer or short-term internships). An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties may be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
Ability to obtain a Criminal Records Clearance (local, state, and FBI).
Must maintain a clean driving record and active automobile insurance coverage.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Know, follow, and uphold TeamBuilders’ philosophy, policies and procedures, and standards of conduct.
Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including:
Posting job advertisements
Screening candidates and conducting initial screening interviews
Scheduling interviews with hiring managers
Supporting candidates and managers throughout the hiring process
Support recruitment efforts by registering for approved career and community events and coordinating management participation.
Represent TeamBuilders Behavioral Health at health fairs, job fairs, career fairs, and community outreach events as assigned.
Facilitate new employee onboarding, including but not limited to:
Conducting background checks and reference checks
Verifying employment history and professional licenses/credentials
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, training, licensure, and performance-related documentation.
Stay current on applicable employment and labor laws; assist in ensuring adherence to personnel policies and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate employee training and development activities, including:
Scheduling training sessions and orientations
Preparing and collecting sign-in sheets and related documentation
Communicating training requirements and opportunities to management and staff
Assist with planning and logistics for training and professional development events such as:
New hire orientation
Annual training requirements
Other agency-sponsored trainings and events
Monitor and report on completion of required new hire, annual training, and licensure requirements for all staff, following up with managers as needed.
Respond to employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refer complex or sensitive matters to the Human Resources Director and/or executive management.
Provide general administrative support, including preparing reports, organizing and maintaining files, and maintaining and updating the Human Resources Information and Learning Management System and other tracking systems.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
