TIG Welder / Metal Fabrication Technician (Aluminum & Stainless) Location: Hanover, PA Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM Overtime: Occasional Saturdays and additional hours as needed Pay: Starting at $24+/hour, based on experience Position Summary We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with fabrication experience to support the production of custom aluminum and stainless-steel components. Ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, blueprint-driven builds, and producing high-quality finished products in a team-oriented environment. country: US all locations: [Hanover, PA] commitment: Contract-To-Hire department: location: Hanover, PA team: Qualdoc Staffing Key Responsibilities: Fabrication & Welding Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel with a focus on clean, high-quality welds Fabricate and assemble components such as railings, frames, and custom structures Measure, align, and fit materials prior to welding Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications Blueprint Reading & Shop Operations Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions Set up and operate fabrication tools including saws, grinders, and other shop equipment Identify and resolve fit-up, alignment, and welding challenges during production Maintain an organized and efficient work area Material Handling & Safety Move materials using pallet jacks or appropriate lifting equipment Follow all safety guidelines and fabrication best practices Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards Adapt to changing workloads and priorities as needed Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Proven TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment Basic math skills (fractions, measurements, calculations) Ability to troubleshoot fabrication or welding issues independently Comfortable working in a production-driven environment Preferred Skills: Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliable and self-motivated with good time management Problem-solving mindset and sound decision-making skills Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching Repetitive hand and arm movements Strong visual focus for precision work
