Primary Responsibilities: Welding & Fabrication
Perform welding using methods such as MIG, TIG, wire feed, spot welding, and oxy-fuel
Fabricate structural components including frames, beams, and tanks in various welding positions
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications
Prepare materials, complete weld finishing, and ensure work meets quality standards
Assembly & Equipment Use
Assemble parts using bolting, drilling, tapping, clamping, and cutting techniques
Operate hand tools and power equipment including grinders and sanders
Set up welding equipment and adjust settings such as gas flow and wire feed
Quality & Maintenance
Inspect materials, welds, and finished products for accuracy and compliance
Identify equipment issues and assist with basic troubleshooting
Support pressure testing and perform rework as needed
Documentation & Communication
Track production output and maintain accurate time records
Communicate progress, safety concerns, and quality issues to supervisors
Qualifications:
Core Skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train
Solid understanding of workplace safety practices
Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple priorities
Experience & Requirements
Previous welding experience preferred (weld test may be required)
Experience with fabrication tools and welding equipment
Basic math skills and ability to read measurements accurately
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
MIG welding certification preferred
TIG welding experience or certification is a plus
Trade school or vocational training is a plus
