Lead Installer – Structural & Architectural Metals (Field Operations) Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Pay: Starts at $32.00/hour (higher based on experience) Perks: Company vehicle and fuel card provided Work Region: Candidates should be based near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC Role Overview We are seeking a Lead Installer to manage field crews responsible for installing structural and miscellaneous metal components, including stairs, railings, and related assemblies. This position oversees daily job site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with project timelines. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on metals experience who is comfortable leading teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders in the field. Why This Opportunity This role is a great fit for a skilled metals professional ready to step into a leadership position, oversee field operations, and ensure high-quality installations while working in a collaborative environment. country: US all locations: [(Multiple States)] commitment: Direct Hire department: location: (Multiple States) team: Qualdoc Staffing Key Responsibilities: Field Leadership & Coordination Supervise and guide installation crews on structural and miscellaneous metal projects Coordinate daily job site activities with general contractors and other trades Plan work assignments, including labor, materials, and equipment needs Installation Oversight Review drawings, blueprints, and layout details to ensure proper installation Verify that all work aligns with project specifications, quality standards, and timelinesAssist with layout, measurements, and alignment when needed Safety & Compliance Serve as the primary point of contact for job site safety Enforce PPE usage and adherence to site-specific safety requirements Ensure team members maintain required certifications and qualifications Conduct safety meetings and reinforce best practices Reporting & Equipment Management Complete daily reports, logs, and vehicle inspections Monitor tools, equipment, and company vehicles for proper use and condition Provide updates on project progress, challenges, and site status Qualifications: 5+ years of experience working with structural or miscellaneous metals preferred Previous experience leading crews or supervising field teams strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and safety documentation Strong math skills, including measurements, angles, and layout calculations Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 standards and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW) Current welding certifications or ability to pass a weld test  What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Company-provided vehicle and fuel card Direct hire opportunity with long-term stability and growth potential
