About the role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive accountant to join our crew. You’ll work alongside a talented team, delivering high-quality reporting, reconciliations, and accounting support that makes a real impact.
What you'll do
QBO Management: Maintain all financial records, categorize expenses, and manage the general ledger daily within QuickBooks Online.Daily Sales Reconciliation: Match daily POS (Point of Sale) sales reports with actual cash deposits, credit card payouts, and third-party delivery apps (UberEats, DoorDash, etc.) in QBO.Accounts Payable: Review, enter, and track vendor invoices (food, beverage, and suppliers), ensuring bills are paid on time and accounts are reconciled.Restaurant Cost Tracking: Help monitor key restaurant metrics, specifically Food & Beverage costs (COGS) and labor costs.Monthly Closing: Reconcile bank and credit card statements in QBO at the end of every month and generate basic Profit & Loss (P&L) reports for the owner/manager.
Qualifications
Restaurant Experience: 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience specifically in the restaurant/hospitality industry (Required).Software: Strong, practical experience using QuickBooks Online / QBO (Required).POS Familiarity: Experience connecting QBO with restaurant POS systems (like Toast, Clover, Square, etc.) is a big plus.Skills: Solid understanding of restaurant-specific finances (tips, vendor management, food costs).Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a growth mindsetAvailability 9 AM–5 PM EST - Monday to fridayWorks as an independent contractor
