PRN Infusion Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Clinic
Location: Fort Collins, CO
OVERVIEW
If you’re a nurse with strong IV skills and tired of the hospital pace and unpredictable schedules, this role offers a calmer, more controlled outpatient environment where you can focus on patient care and use your IV skills consistently. This is a low-volume infusion center designed for safe, thoughtful care and strong patient interaction.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
- Low patient volume
- Typically manage 2–3 patients at a time
- No weekends, no call
- Structured outpatient setting with minimal chaos
SCHEDULE
- PRN, flexible weekday shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Shifts scheduled in advance based on availability
- No nights or weekends
COMPENSATION
- Competitive PRN hourly rate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Start IVs and administer specialty infusion therapies
- Monitor patients for infusion reactions and respond appropriately
- Provide patient education during treatment
- Maintain high standards of clinical care and safety
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols
CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT & SUPPORT
- Calm outpatient infusion setting
- Infusion times range from 1–5 hours, allowing for meaningful patient interaction

- Structured onboarding including virtual training and in-clinic shadowing

QUALIFICATIONS
- Active, unrestricted RN license
- 1+ year RN experience (infusion or ED preferred)
- Strong IV skills required
- Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative team
