Job Description   Overview The Business Data Analyst Intern will support the data analytics team in building reports, analyzing data, and helping generate insights for internal teams as well as clients. This role is designed for someone looking to gain hands-on experience working with business data, dashboards, and analytics tools in a commercial business intelligence setting. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and interested in learning how to translate data into clear business insights. This internship is a temporary, part-time position (around 24 hours per week) for the summer. Location Dallas   Scope Global Education Minimum required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field Span of Control: Reports to: Manager, Business Data Analytics Oversight:  This position has no direct reports Roles/ Responsibilities Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organizing data from various sourcesSupport the creation of reports, dashboards, presentations, and concise written summaries of trendsHelp analyze customer and business data to identify trends, patterns, and basic business insightsWork with team members to understand business needs and translate them into data tasks and clear reporting outputsConduct basic research to support data-driven recommendationsAssist in testing and validating data for accuracy and qualityCollaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business teams on ongoing projectsLearn and support tools used for reporting and analytics (e.g., Excel, Tableau)Help summarize KPI movement in plain business language for internal stakeholders and client-facing materials Qualifications Required Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related fieldBasic understanding of data analysis concepts and business intelligence reportingFamiliarity with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables preferred)Strong attention to detail and willingness to learnGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to synthesize information rather than only describe data   Preferred (Nice to Have) Exposure to SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)Interest in business intelligence or data analytics in a commercial settingInterest in hospitality, especially hotels and travel agenciesInternship or project experience working with data   Teamwork/Leadership/interpersonal Skills: Analytical and curious mindsetAbility to learn quickly and ask questionsBasic problem-solving skillsOrganized and detail-orientedComfortable working in a team environment   Organizational Interlocks This position will work closely with internal stakeholders   Physical Demands/  Travel required Work associated with this position is sedentary in nature and performed indoors at a desk either remotely or in an office setting.
