Role
The Strategy Associate sits within the Galvanize Platform and plays a central role in advancing the firm’s investment capabilities and strategic growth.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role working closely with investment teams and senior leadership. The Associate develops cross-asset insights, supports firm-wide strategic initiatives, and engages externally with leaders across climate, industry, and finance.
The role blends analytical rigor with ecosystem engagement and execution. You will generate market insights to inform investment decisions, activate a global network of partners, and design high-impact convenings that shape dialogue across the energy transition.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Strategy Initiatives & Research
Develop high-quality materials to support firm-wide strategic initiatives, partnerships, and growth efforts
Conduct targeted deep dives on priority themes (e.g., cross-firm investable opportunities across the nuclear supply chain, climate physical risk, or carbon markets)
Produce market maps, thematic analyses, and internal briefings that inform investment and partnership decisions
Synthesize insights across teams and asset classes into clear, actionable outputs for internal and external audiences
Network Development & Value Creation
Help manage and activate Galvanize’s global network, including corporates, investors, NGOs, and industry bodies
Capture insights from network interactions and translate them into actionable inputs for investment teams
Drive follow-ups, introductions, and relationship development across key stakeholders
Support portfolio companies through strategic introductions, partnerships, and go-to-market efforts
Contribute to external initiatives (e.g., working groups, partnerships), with the opportunity to represent Galvanize over time
Convening Strategy
Design and execute strategic convenings (e.g., roundtables, executive dinners) that bring together senior leaders across climate, industry, and finance
Drive key components of the Galvanize Solutions Summit, including content strategy and partner engagement
Capture and synthesize insights from convenings to inform firm strategy and investment activity
Required Qualifications
Strong alignment with Galvanize’s mission to accelerate and scale climate solutions
2–4 years of experience in consulting, investing, partnerships, or a high-growth operating environment
Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill complex market, policy, and business information into clear insights and actionable outputs
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and execute against tight timelines
Experience working across stakeholders (e.g., corporates, investors, startups), with strong relationship management and communication skills
Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and support cross-functional initiatives
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing presentations and external-facing materials
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-through
Additional Qualifications
Experience in climate tech, energy transition, or sustainability-related sectors
Familiarity with multiple asset classes (e.g., venture, growth, credit, real estate, public equities)
Experience planning or executing events, convenings, or external engagement strategies
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated base salary range is $125,000 - $150,000, with placement within the range based on relevant experience
Role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
