YOUR MISSION
True Anomaly is seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer II to support the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for our spacecraft programs. In this role, you will execute across the full hardware development lifecycle — from requirements capture and schematic design through bring-up, integration, and production — while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. You will bring hands-on technical depth, a strong sense of ownership, and the initiative to contribute meaningfully from day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test for electrical designs
Support the rapid design, development, and testing of high-reliability electrical systems for spacecraft engineering and development efforts
Collaborate with system architecture development across cross-functional teams
Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews to support program requirements
Conduct derating analysis and worst-case circuit analysis
Support system-level integration of electrical subsystems, including hardware and software interfaces
Perform first article testing, unit-level testing, and production testing
Contribute to the development and execution of validation and qualification testing campaigns to ensure reliable hardware
Develop and maintain documentation for electrical systems and components, including design specifications, test plans, and operating procedures
Support hardware through production, integration, and launch
Collaborate with experts from other teams and departments to improve system efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability, and to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and quality assurance processes
Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical engineering processes and practices
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
2-4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering
Proficiency with PCB design in Altium Designer or equivalent
Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards including PCB and PCBA design
Strong written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience with spacecraft electrical system design and testing
Familiarity with spacecraft power systems, avionics, and communication subsystems
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to spacecraft electrical systems
Embedded firmware development experience
Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Simulink
Knowledge of IPC standards and specifications including IPC-610, IPC J-STD-001, and other relevant PCB design and assembly standards
Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment or a similarly dynamic setting
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $90,000-$135,000 Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance
Work Location—this role will be onsite at either our Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA locations, with travel to other sites as needed.
