Job Description:
Fulfil is hiring an Electrical Technician to support the build, test, installation, and maintenance of our R&D electrical systems for our proprietary industrial automation and robotics equipment. In this role, you will work closely with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Operations teams to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical hardware primarily in engineering environments, with occasional support at contract manufacturers or customer sites. This is a hands-on position critical to ensuring reliable, safe, and high-quality electrical systems.
In This Role You Will
Build, wire, and assemble electrical panels, control cabinets, and automation equipment
Build, modify, and repair cable assemblies and wire harnesses with both crimped and soldered connections
Assemble, solder, rework, and inspect PCBAs in accordance with IPC standards and internal work instructions
Perform electrical system bring-up, testing, and validation at the bench and system levels
Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues and assist with root cause analysis
Follow and promote safe work practices when working with hazardous voltages
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on design quality, manufacturability, and serviceability
Assist with documentation of build procedures, test results, and field issues
Support contract manufacturers and internal production builds as needed
What We’re Looking For
Technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field
8+ years of hands-on experience as an electrical technician in industrial, automation, robotics, capital equipment R&D, or manufacturing environments
IPC certification for PCBAs (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-7711/7721)
IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or demonstrated experience building cable and wire harness assemblies to industry standards
Demonstrated proficiency in hand soldering, rework, and inspection of through-hole and surface-mount components
Experience wiring control panels, cabinets, and industrial equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Experience working with PCBAs, including assembly, test, and debug support
Familiarity with industrial components such as sensors, motors, power supplies, relays, and PLC I/O
Proficiency with common electrical lab and shop tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, crimpers, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
What We’d Love To See
Current IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Class 2 or Class 3) certifications
Experience with ESD control programs and electronics handling best practices
Experience with mechanical systems. Skills in automotive or motorcycle work is directly transferable
Prior experience in a fast-paced startup or high-mix manufacturing environment
Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or field service operations
Not afraid of robots

The compensation range for this position is $30 - $40 per hour, plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience, job-specific skills, education, and work location.
