About the Role
The Maintenance Technician ensures apartment homes and property facilities are safe, clean, and in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing units for move-in, performing general maintenance and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and locks, and following a preventative maintenance schedule.
The role also includes ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and company standards, providing excellent service to residents, and supervising or escorting contractors as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, drywall, painting, basic carpentry, and routine upkeep to maintain community standards
Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by completing turnover repairs, inspections, and improvements
Conduct routine and periodic property inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and risk management concerns, ensure the property remains in good repair, and report physical needs or issues to management
Assist with inventory management by tracking, organizing, and maintaining maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts
Maintain working knowledge of building emergency systems, equipment shutoffs, and operational procedures to ensure resident safety and property integrity
Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols, promptly reporting hazards, incidents, and maintenance concerns
Deliver strong customer service by fostering positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members while responding professionally to service requests
Follow established operational procedures including key control, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, and emergency response protocols
Ideal Background : High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC repair, Plumbing, Electrical, and General Maintenance repair work
Ability to promptly respond to work orders and other communications (e.g: text, email)
Ability to accommodate on-call schedule
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
HVAC Certification is a plus
EPA Certification is required
Proficiency in English
