The Role
We’re excited to welcome a driven, high‑energy professional to join our Revenue Accounting team within a dynamic global technology organization. As a Revenue Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring revenue transactions are accurately recorded, aligned with Bottomline’s policies, and supported by strong, efficient processes. Your work will directly contribute to timely, precise, and transparent revenue reporting.
This role can be hybrid if you’re within commuting distance to Portsmouth, NH, or fully remote within the Eastern Time Zone.
Work Authorization
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without restriction. Visa sponsorship or transfers are not available..
How you’ll contribute
Apply core revenue accounting principles to determine the correct revenue treatment in accordance with Bottomline’s policies
Ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of cash activity related to customer payments and revenue transactions
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of revenue‑related cash accounts
Prepare journal entries for revenue‑related cash activity, adjustments, and reclassifications
Partner closely with Billing, Collections, Sales Operations, and FP&A to support accurate and complete revenue reporting
Take a key role in monthly and quarterly close processes, including ownership of standard journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules
Assist with audit preparation and support auditor inquiries
Contribute to process improvement projects and operational efficiency initiatives

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting
Strong proficiency working with business systems and processes (Excel, CRM, ERP, etc.)
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent analytical skills and clear written/verbal communication
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate, high‑quality work
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Skilled in preparing account reconciliations, including detailed cash account reconciliations.
2+ years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within SaaS or technology
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce CRM, and/or RevPro
Participation in critical projects or process improvement initiatives
Additional certifications or continuing education
Experience using AI tools, or a genuine interest in learning and applying AI technologies
Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts and internal controls
