About this role

As a 3rd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor (internally titled Manufacturing Group Leader), you’ll lead a hands-on, frontline team of hourly manufacturing team members across key production areas, supporting day-to-day execution, developing people, and helping create a shift that runs with accountability and pride. This is a highly hands-on role, with the majority of time spent on the manufacturing floor working directly with your team. How You Contribute Lead and Support Your Team - Lead a team of manufacturing team members and support Manufacturing Process Leaders, coaching them in day-to-day leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making Drive Daily Execution – Responsible for shift performance across safety, quality, and productivity, ensuring daily goals are met and the team stays aligned Coach Continuous Improvement - Help your team identify and improve inefficiencies using Lean and continuous improvement tools Create Alignment & Accountability - Lead shift meetings, reinforce clear communication, and ensure consistency across teams Strengthen Operations- Ensure production standards, workflows, and documentation are followed and continuously improved Adapt in Real Time - Adjust labor to meet demand while keeping teams informed, aligned, and supported Maintain a High-Standard Environment - Drive 5S, housekeeping, and equipment readiness to keep operations running smoothly Why People Choose This Role Real responsibility: you’ll run the shift and support your team in delivering daily results Opportunity to develop team members and influence culture High visibility into operations and decision-making A team environment built on accountability and trust Stability within a design-driven, quality-focused organization About the Schedule This is a 3rd shift role (Sunday–Wednesday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with overtime opportunities on Thursdays. It’s best suited for someone who: Prefers nights or thrives in a lower-distraction environment Values autonomy and ownership Wants to lead when fewer layers exist Criteria For Success Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment A 2- or 4-year degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent experience Experience with continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.) Strong communication skills and the ability to coach and develop others Ability to lead through change, problem-solve, and make decisions in real time Bonus if you have: Exposure to assembly, fabrication, or similar manufacturing processes Lean or Six Sigma certification Experience as a first-line leader or team lead in a production environment Work Environment This is a hands-on, frontline leadership role in a production environment. It’s fast-paced, occasionally noisy, and always active. You’ll be on your feet, engaged with your team, and leading from the front. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
