About this role

Remote position within Argentina & Uruguay - This is a short term role - 8 to 12 weeks.   RYZ Labs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Monitoring & Observability Engineer to join our client’s team, focused on building and implementing enterprise-grade monitoring solutions across Azure environments.   The ideal candidate will work on a build-focused engagement, responsible for installing, configuring, and documenting Azure monitoring and observability solutions based on client-defined standards. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Azure services, a deep understanding of monitoring frameworks, and the ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready configurations and documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in structured, delivery-focused environments and enjoys working on complex Azure architectures, including cross-subscription monitoring, incident tooling, and AI-driven observability solutions. The engagement is project-based (8–12 weeks), with a strong emphasis on execution, documentation, and knowledge transfer.     country: AR all locations: [Buenos Aires] commitment: Full Time - Fixed Term (3 months) department: RYZ Labs location: Buenos Aires team: Engineering Basic Qualifications:: 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Azure, with a strong focus on monitoring and observability Proven experience installing and configuring Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspaces, and Application Insights Strong proficiency in KQL (Kusto Query Language) for building queries, workbooks, and alert rules Experience configuring Azure Lighthouse across multi-subscription and cross-tenant environments Hands-on experience with Azure Managed Grafana and dashboard creation Experience deploying infrastructure using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure Policy Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for automation tasks Experience working with incident management and RCA tooling within defined processes Strong documentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear runbooks and handoff materials Ability to work within defined requirements, without ownership of ongoing operations or support Preferred Qualifications:: Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-900, AI-102) Experience working on fixed-scope or SOW-based engagements Familiarity with ITSM integrations such as ServiceNow or PagerDuty Experience with Azure Arc for hybrid or multi-cloud monitoring Exposure to FinOps tools and Azure Cost Management Experience configuring AI-driven monitoring solutions (e.g., anomaly detection, Azure AI services) Key Responsibilities:: Install and configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspaces, and Application Insights across multiple Azure resource types Configure diagnostic settings and data collection rules (DCRs) to ensure proper ingestion of logs and metrics Build KQL queries, Azure Monitor Workbooks, and dashboards aligned with client requirements Configure alerts, action groups, and intelligent alerting pipelines based on approved thresholds Implement Azure Lighthouse configurations for cross-subscription and cross-tenant observability Set up incident management tooling, alert pipelines, escalation flows, and RCA frameworks as defined by the client Build automated remediation workflows using Azure Automation and Logic Apps Configure AI-driven monitoring solutions, including anomaly detection and dynamic metrics dashboards Develop and deliver comprehensive documentation, including configuration guides and runbooks Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to enable the client team to operate all deployed solutions
