Production Technician

About this role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to support the assembly, configuration, and testing of secure hardware and software systems in a high-assurance manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role working with advanced technologies and documented procedures to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance. This position is well suited for early-career candidates who take pride in precision work, enjoy working with electronics and hardware, and are eager to build technical experience in a regulated production setting. Key Responsibilities Assemble and test hardware products in accordance with documented work instructions and procedures Install and configure software based on order and configuration requirements Inspect incoming materials and components for quality, defects, and specification compliance Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with non-conforming components or assemblies Operate and maintain test equipment, including bench-top instruments and proprietary tools Assemble, debug, and support test boards and custom test fixtures Assist with installation, qualification, and maintenance of production equipment Prepare and coordinate outbound shipments for customer orders Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Support general production operations and participate in continuous improvement initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives Qualifications Education Associate degree or relevant technical training (electronics, engineering technology, or similar) Experience 0–1 year of experience in a production, manufacturing, or technical environment Electromechanical assembly, box build, or basic PCB/programming experience is a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic understanding of electronics and experience using electronic test equipment Mechanical aptitude with familiarity working on computer-based or hardware systems Prior experience in a test, lab, or technical production environment preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and precision Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities Self-motivated with a strong focus on safety, process adherence, and results Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license U.S. Citizenship required due to government and defense-related work country: US all locations: [Danbury, CT] commitment: Contract -to - Hire department: Client Opportunities location: Danbury, CT team: Engineering Openings
