country: US all locations: [Portland, ME] commitment: Part Time department: Volunteer location: Portland, ME team: Volunteer ME RESPONSIBILITIES:: Assist with preparation and implementation of volunteer and outreach events, such as tabling at public events, crowd canvassing, action nights, etc Learning and entering in data collected Phone Banking Policy advocacy at state and federal levels Work with patients to collect and develop stories for advocacy projects QUALIFICATIONS:: Passion for reproductive health and rights for all, including abortion and gender affirming care Ability to problem solve Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism as a representative of Planned Parenthood’s well-known and widely-trusted brand Interest in reproductive health care, education, and women and gender studies issues Ability to communicate with public about PPNNE health services, mission and goals Previous organizing experience a plus, but not required Occasional weekend and evening availability Means to travel throughout Southern and Mid-Coast Maine a plus, but not required
