Role Overview
This role sits at the center of how Teneo’s U.S. Strategy & Communications business delivers for clients.
As Senior Staffing & Operations Manager, you will drive how teams are deployed across accounts — ensuring the right talent is aligned to the highest-priority work while optimizing utilization, team performance, and overall business efficiency.
You will partner closely with practice and account leaders to inform staffing decisions, provide visibility into capacity, and bring structure and insight to how the business operates at scale.

The ideal candidate brings experience in consulting, professional services, or high-performance, team-based environments who bring a strong operational and analytical mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing & Deployment
Lead the day-to-day staffing of teams across the U.S. Strategy & Communications business
Partner with senior leaders to align talent to client work, balancing business priorities, team capacity, and skillsets
Maintain a real-time view of team availability, utilization, skillsets, experience, and preferences
Support smooth transitions across projects, accounts, and teams
Business Operations & Planning
Drive visibility into utilization, capacity, and staffing trends across the business
Support forecasting and workforce planning aligned to pipeline and revenue expectations
Identify gaps and optimize deployment to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes
Contribute to broader operational planning and decision-making across the platform
Data, Insights & Process Improvement
Own and enhance staffing-related data, reporting, and tools
Build dashboards and insights to support leadership decision-making
Identify and implement improvements to staffing processes, systems, and ways of working
Use data and judgment to flag risks and opportunities related to capacity, skills, and team structure
Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted partner to practice leaders, account leads, and team members on staffing and deployment decisions
Build strong relationships across the business to understand evolving needs and priorities
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and People teams to align on workforce planning and business objectives
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
Support broader operational, commercial, or strategic initiatives as business needs evolve
Act as a connective point across global S&C teams and other business segments and functions, helping drive alignment and consistency in how the business operates.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in consulting, professional services operations, staffing / deployment, business operations, or chief of staff roles
Experience operating in fast-paced, client-driven environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data to inform decisions
Ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations and translate them into actionable plans
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across seniority levels
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in advisory, communications, or consulting environments
Familiarity with utilization management, workforce planning, or staffing models
Track record of improving operational processes or scaling team-based delivery models

Base Salary Range
$100,000 - $200,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).
Total Compensation Package
Includes annualized bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of additional benefits and perks.
Flexible Work Policy:
Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York office, the company's expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of 3 days a week.
