The Airport Supervisor on Duty plays a critical role in our Control Center, supporting operational excellence in Airports throughout our network and collaborates with support Teams in the OCC including Dispatch and Guest Operations. This position is the central point of contact for all Airports, will be a subject matter expert in policies, procedures and resources that our Airports Team use. This role also is responsible for proactive planning, building and updating Airports resources and supports real-time resolution during irregular operations, including being a key decision-maker to minimize impact on Guest Experience at our Airports. Here's what you'll do
Serve as a resource for real-time Airport support during irregular operations, answering questions, problem solving, guidance through irregular operations and liaison to Dispatch and Guest Operations.
Execute decision-making for recovery solutions including meal vouchers, rebooking options, adjustments to compensation, minimizing Guest Experience impact.
Investigate delays related to Airports, ensuring accurate reporting and timely follow up.
Collaborate with all the Airport Standards and Learning Team, create, monitor and update resources available in the Breeze Information System.
Act as a Complaint-Resolutions-Official and support for fellow Ground Security Coordinators, as needed
Deliver daily operational recaps to leadership regarding Staffing, Ground Equipment, delays.
Partner with other operational departments on investigations.
Track and analyze Airport performance to our operational KPIs, reporting to Airport Operations and Airport Standards Leadership
Liaison to Airport Operations Leadership Team for daily operational reports, concerns, and status reports.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices to implement that will enhance efficiency and guest experience.
Maintain deep knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and resources.
Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements across all airport operations.
Additional duties as assigned.
Here's what you'll need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years’ experience as a Supervisor, Manager, or Trainer in Airport Operations
Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) professionally for training, QA, and data reporting
High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
Strong knowledge of Airport Operations, FAA, TSA, DOT regulations
Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
Outstanding leadership capabilities, with ability to lead, train, and motivate
Preferred Qualifications
2 or 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
Experience working both above-wing and below-wing operations
Skills/Talents
Competent in interpersonal communications (soft skills), collaboration, critical-thinking, and problem solving
A self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Skilled at managing stress and multiple tasks simultaneously
Proven ability to lead and coach others
Attention to detail and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude are required to manage the variety of responsibilities and deliverables
Ability to travel as needed or required.
