About this role
Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Manager, Retail Allocations - NAM you are responsible for executing Arc’teryx product flow and merchandising vision through DTC channels for the North America region. Together with your team, you will ensure that Arc'teryx retail stores are supplied with the right product according to seasonal flow plans and are replenished at an optimal cadence and volume. You are a Change Champion and strong partner to our Commercial and Product teams, enabling the NAM retail vision.

The Merchandise Planning & Allocation team is a cross-functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks by finding the balance between the right product, at the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time.

If you were in the Manager, Retail Allocations - NAM role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing::
Championing the implementation and change management of our End2End Planning solutions
Building, coaching and developing a high performing North American Allocations team that manages all phases of product movement within DTC Retail channels
Developing and monitoring performance objectives, ensuring alignment with company strategic goals
Collaborating closely with Merchandise Planning to ensure that planning and execution are reconciled closely
Collaborating closely with Merchandising to ensure that the product assortment is brought to life in an impactful manner
Partnering with our Distribution & Transportation teams to create best practices to get product, to the right place, at the right time, from pre-season to in-season, to post-season returns
Collaborating closely with Retail Operations on medium to long-term process improvement projects driving revenue growth and world class guest experience
Consistently improving our product allocation and replenishment strategy, ensuring it aligns with company growth and strategic objectives
Leading the evolution of drop review process, including stage gate development, communication, cross-functional partner enrollment, and delivery of accurate reporting
Ensure DTC sales performance is continuously analyzed, with allocation and forecasting strategies adapted to weekly, monthly, and quarterly trends to maximize business results, optimize inventory levels, and support achievement of company financial objectives.
Developing budgets, staffing plans, cost targets, and operational goals related to the effective execution of our merchandising and allocations strategies
Influencing and helping to shape new processes and lead the implementation of new practices and tools that improve efficiency, capability, and results
Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future::
Partnering with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to drive operational excellence in service of our guest experience
Collaborating with the Business Process team and Technology to serve as a primary stakeholder in the optimization and implementation of our retail replenishment systems
Scaling and refining our operating model to ensure we’re keeping pace with our Long-Term Strategic Plans
Providing connection and influence to our Allocations teams around the world, representing Arc’teryx’ needs in the development of Allocations strategy
Are you our next Manager, Retail Allocations - NAM?:
You have a University degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
You have 6+ years of experience in allocations or inventory management in a direct to consumer/vertical retail business
You have 3+ years people leadership experience
You have experience managing 100+ stores
You have a strong understanding of retail KPI’s such as; Traffic, Conversion, AUR, UPT, In-Stock rates & Weeks of Supply.
You have SAP experience
You have experience with allocations systems such as; o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, Oracle or similar
You have systems implementation and change management experience
You have a proven ability to lead and mentor high performing teams
You have the ability to gather data, digest, and analyze it, and from it, create an action plan
You know how to evolve internal processes and gain momentum to make change happen, including the ability to identify and articulate the necessary processes to get things done efficiently and effectively
You know how to influence and prioritize, presenting ideas that lead others to action
You’re able to identify risks early and develop contingency plans to minimize business impact
You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
