About the Team Financial Services at Meesho is building one of the largest digital lending businesses for Bharat. As we scale to millions of users, the next phase of growth will be defined by how intelligently we manage credit performance across the lifecycle — from underwriting to repayment and recovery. The DARC (Data Science, Analytics, Risk & Collections) team acts as the decisioning engine for this business — combining data, risk, and systems thinking to drive portfolio outcomes. About the Role: Credit Portfolio Optimization This is a high-ownership, high-impact role focused on maximizing portfolio performance post-disbursement. You will act as the central problem solver for credit performance — identifying where we are losing money across the repayment lifecycle, diagnosing root causes, and designing interventions that improve outcomes at scale. This is not a collections or operations role.This is a strategy + systems role with direct impact on metrics like NCL, cure rates, cost-to-recovery, and customer lifetime value. Know more about Meesho here : https://www.meesho.io/ country: IN all locations: [Bangalore, Karnataka] commitment: Full Time Employee department: Financial Services location: Bangalore, Karnataka team: Financial Services What you will do: Own portfolio performance problems end-to-endIdentify leakages across the repayment lifecycle (early delinquency, roll-forwards, low cure, high cost) and define structured problem statements Drive first-principles problem solvingBreak down ambiguous problems into hypotheses, design experiments, and quantify impact Design and test interventions at scaleAcross: Customer segmentation Communication strategies Payment nudges and incentives Policy and product levers Channel mix (digital vs assisted vs agency) Build intelligence layers on top of collectionsWork with DS/Analytics to create: Propensity / payback models Early warning signals Prioritization frameworks Close the loop with risk and productUse collections insights to influence: Underwriting strategies Fraud detection Product design decisions Partner with OPS teams to drive executionEnsure strategies translate into measurable on-ground impact Drive leadership visibilityCommunicate insights, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders What you will need: 3–8 years of experience in consulting, fintech, lending, analytics, or strategy roles Strong first-principles thinking and structured problem solving Ability to operate in ambiguity and independently define problem statements High comfort with data (SQL/Excel/analytics mindset) Clear ownership mindset — ability to drive outcomes, not just analysis Strong business intuition and understanding of customer behaviour Ability to deal with ambiguous problem statements Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
