DEBURR TECHNICIAN (ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING) Freeform builds AI-native manufacturing systems that unify software, hardware, and physics to produce industrial-scale parts at the speed of human ideation. As a Deburr Technician at Freeform, you will play a critical role in the post-processing of metal 3D printed parts for the world’s first high-volume additive manufacturing factory.  You will debur and post-process parts with complex geometries and tight-tolerances with a keen eye for precision and attention to detail. You will have an opportunity to use a variety of tools and machines such as EDM’s, grit blasters, grinders, power hand tools, and more. Our customers are the most iconic names in aerospace, defense, automotive, advanced energy, and industrial sectors, so the impact of your work will be direct and meaningful. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment, will take pride in their work, and will have a no-job-too-big-or-small mentality.     Responsibilities:  Post process printed parts including depowering, precision cleaning, removing supports, and surface-finishing  Operate, maintain, and monitor machinery such as wire EDMs, surface grinders, sand blasters, deburring tools, bandsaws and handle metal powders   Participate in process improvement efforts to streamline post processing operations to enable mass production    Help turnover builds, ensuring powders, tools, and equipment are available at all times   Assist with visual inspection and shipment of final parts  Basic Qualifications:   1+ years of experience in deburring, metal additive post-processing, or similar hands-on precision metal work  Nice to Have:  Experience in operating complex equipment   Skilled with manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting and/or bending of stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys  Ability to utilize power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment  Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs unassisted  Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time  Must be available and willing to work overtime when needed   Safety conscience   Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint  Location:   Based in Hawthorne, our vertically integrated facility brings technology development, R&D, and production together under one roof. Our intent is to offer a salary that is commensurate for the company’s current stage of development and allows the employee to grow and develop within a role.  In addition to the significant stock option package, the estimated pay range for this role is $25-$40/hour. The upper end of the range is reserved for individuals who demonstrate exceptional experience, deep domain mastery, and a proven history of high performance and impact.
